Mad Honey hunting Expedition in Lamjung Village

Honey hunting has been a tradition for ages among the indigenous Gurung community people residing in Lamjung village, Annapurna region. Honey not only possesses psychedelic and medicinal value but it also carries traditional/cultural values that have been passed on from generation to generation. The honey is extracted from giant bees known as the great Apis Laboriosa residing above 3000m altitude in the cliffs of the Himalayas, so we can imagine the difficulty that the people have to go through while harvesting the honey.
