Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Engineer specializing in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, scheduling, and managing engineering projects related to electrical systems and instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met. Use planning tools and software to create accurate timelines and resource allocations.
Coordination: Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are understood and met. Facilitate communication between different project stakeholders to resolve issues and align on objectives.
Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment. Ensure that resources are available and utilized efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and expenditures. Work closely with the finance team to identify potential cost savings and ensure the project remains within financial constraints.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address and resolve any issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to senior management. Highlight any deviations from the plan and propose corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling for electrical and instrumentation projects.
Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
